The Creative Director immersed in future trends, current state of the business, and the future of the Mattel’s brands. This role collaborates works closely with line of business partners and partner with the other Franchise Creative Directors to ensure the development and execution of global, relevant and brand-right creative strategies with all regional partners. This role must collaborate with external partners and be a wealth of creativity and storytelling pitches while understanding our different brands and company strategies. This is a fast-paced, visible role that needs an extremely high level of creativity and taste, excellent prioritization, organizational and collaboration/communication skills, and is for someone who can mentor and provide value to a talented international team.What Your Impact Will Be: Creative Director is responsible for the below at a high levelUp to date on current, emerging trends, international brands and able to curate/apply to multiple brandsGlobal pitch development: including partnering on the “why” not just the “what”Provide creative strategic direction and support to priority global licensees/programsEnsure timely approvalsSupport Halo programs/collaborations with design direction and identification of partners/pitchesPartner with cross functional creative teams to ensure needs of the regions/LOB are metA high-level connection and collaboration point across the globe and within the Creative team: partner to the other DirectorsDo-ing as well as direct-ingLeading, mentoring and developing their team: always pushing for creative improvementQualificationsWhat We’re Looking For: Requirements:10-12 years professional experience (AL level), including 4+ as a managerPortfolio demonstrating strong design excellence and superior problem solvingPartnership/collab, licensing, diverse product including fashion design experienceSkilled in Graphic Design, pitch creation and presentationAdvanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and Power point (InDesign is a plus)Strong knowledge of colors, materials and finishesAble to Draw and sketch as well as verbally communicate ideasKnowledge of hard and softlines manufacturing processesExperience in spatial, experiential design, publishing, gaming appreciatedStrong written and verbal communications skillsExcellent presentation skills requiredAbility to work autonomously and in a team environmentExcellent Collaborator and partnerAbility to delegate, coach and develop a creative teamStrong and impactful team leaderPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:Deeply Creative Problem SolverCollaborativeSelf-MotivatedPassionate about 'Play'Efficient and excellent at time managementProactiveOrganizedCuriousProfessional Maturity and the Ability to Assimilate and share Constructive CriticismThe annual base salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $215,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
