About The Position

The Credentialing Coordinator plays a vital role in the hospital-based program at Community Health Systems, ensuring that healthcare providers are properly credentialed and onboarded. This position involves managing provider information, verifying documents, and maintaining the credentialing database to support the organization's commitment to quality healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Customer service and/or administrative experience preferred.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Enter provider information into the credentialing database and confirm CV format.
  • Review documents submitted by providers for clarity and expiration.
  • Complete primary source verifications to ensure compliance with APP standards.
  • Input collected data during the onboarding process into the credentialing database.
  • Gather and enter providers' CAQH and NPI Taxonomy code information.
  • Escalate concerns regarding provider processing and management non-responses.
  • Assist the credentialing team with data entry and document collection during start-up and acquisitions.
  • Follow up with providers on expirables to ensure timely renewals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
