About the position

The Credit Analyst position at U.S. Bank involves supporting Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers in managing a portfolio of customer relationships. The role focuses on analyzing financial data, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring compliance with bank credit policies. The analyst will also assist in credit requests and monitor portfolio credit quality, contributing to the overall lending and business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accurate and consistent financial statement spreads and quarterly trend analyses.
  • Prepare quarterly monitoring reports and conduct covenant tests in accordance with bank standards.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive written analyses.
  • Assess portfolio credit quality and assist with industry sector reviews.
  • Support Portfolio Managers in preparing and presenting credit requests for approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • One to three years of experience in a finance or analytical role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance.
  • Effective analytical and technical report writing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and perform financial analyses.
