About The Position

The Credit Support Specialist at U.S. Bank plays a crucial role in supporting the post-booking functions of wealth credit facilities. This position ensures compliance with policies, regulatory guidelines, and investor standards by gathering and reviewing necessary documentation. The specialist communicates with various stakeholders to resolve issues and obtain required documents, while also coordinating the closing and funding of loan packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically five or more years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of resources used to support applicable credit portfolio management.
  • Ability to work with legal staff to solve complex documentation needs.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking for all elements of loan documentation construction.
  • Ability to master the bank's documentation software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of closing policies and procedures, funding policies, underwriting requirements, governmental and agency requirements, terminology and automated processing systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable credit policies and approval processes for assigned product(s).
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast-paced, high production, professional environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support post-booking functions of wealth credit facilities in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Gather and review necessary documents and information within designated time frames.
  • Communicate with staff, customers/clients, realtors, brokers, counsel, title companies, etc. to respond to inquiries and resolve problems.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory and investor requirements, and customer service standards.
  • Coordinate the closing and funding of assigned loan packages, calculating final closing costs and disbursing funds.
