The Credit Underwriter for Mid-Market/Enterprise at Visa is a pivotal role that requires a deep understanding of the Bundled Acquiring services. The selected candidate will become an expert in this area and will serve as a key resource for cross-functional teams. The primary responsibility is to apply appropriate underwriting criteria to prospective merchant applications, ensuring that financial exposure is mitigated in accordance with Visa's credit policy. This role is essential in supporting the overall business needs by ensuring that the Underwriting group makes quality credit decisions within the established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). In addition to underwriting new merchants for both the Enterprise and Small Business platforms, the Credit Underwriter will collaborate closely with Sales and Acquiring Partners to provide a seamless experience for prospective merchants. This includes performing periodic reviews of existing merchants to manage overall risk effectively. The role also involves working with Sales and Account Management to gain a quantitative and qualitative understanding of merchants' acceptance costs and processing effectiveness. The Credit Underwriter will take an active role within CyberSource, identifying and recommending process or policy changes to enhance the effectiveness of the group. Furthermore, the individual will contribute to ongoing projects for the Bundled Acquiring Group as needed. This position is hybrid, allowing employees to alternate between remote work and office presence. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week, with a general guideline of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
