About the position

Cricket Wireless is seeking a Lead Scrum Master to join their Shared Services and Retail Delivery team. The ideal candidate will facilitate the development and growth of cross-functional teams, fostering an Agile/Scrum mindset and promoting continuous improvement. This role involves planning and facilitation, providing support to teams, removing obstacles, and offering coaching and mentorship. As a servant-leader, the Lead Scrum Master will optimize the value stream for effective delivery and collaborate with other Agile/Lean practitioners to share knowledge and best practices on a larger scale.

Responsibilities

  • Establish Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide
  • Improve Scrum Team effectiveness via implementation of best practices, within the Scrum framework
  • Scrum Team Support
  • Able to put ego to the side and the 'desire to control' the team by teaching and mentoring the team members in self-organizing behavior
  • Help the Scrum Team to focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done
  • Facilitate the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team's progress
  • Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
  • Recommend techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management
  • Promote the Scrum Team's understanding of the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items
  • Help establish empirical product planning for a complex environment
  • Facilitating stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed
  • Lead, train, and coach the organization in its Scrum adoption
  • Plan and advise Scrum implementations within the organization
  • Help employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work
  • Remove barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in Telcomm
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of service to a team in the role of a scrum master
  • Bachelor of Science degree in any Technical, Engineering, Information Systems or related fields preferred
  • PSM (Professional Scrum Master) certification from scrum.org
  • Additional certifications in one or more would be preferred SAFe (SSM, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP))
