About the position

As a Criminal/Intel Analyst at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) International Operations (IO) programs. Your primary focus will be on Operational Analysis (Ops) activities that are essential for mission execution. You will utilize advanced analysis techniques and tools to provide operational support for HSI Special Agents involved in overseas biometric collection. This position is vital for ensuring the safety and security of our nation, and your contributions will have a significant impact on the effectiveness of law enforcement and intelligence operations. In this role, you will coordinate directly with HSI Special Agents and specialists to enhance intelligence analysis activities related to biometric collection. Your responsibilities will include collating and evaluating data from biometric collections, analyzing this data against existing government holdings, and delivering actionable intelligence and law enforcement investigative cases as directed by the DHS HSI IO mission. You will engage with IO leadership and collaborate with analysts across multiple task areas to drive investigative cases and intelligence products, enhancing efficiencies and identifying critical threats based on operational responsibilities. Your work will not only involve evaluating methods to improve the use of products and tools for analysis but also coordinating with relevant contract and government staff to foster collaboration with mission partners, including foreign law enforcement and intelligence agencies. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to enhancing the efficacy of investigation and intelligence products, particularly in relation to biometric collections that support IO mission activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide experienced intelligence, law enforcement, military, and/or other analytical perspectives to enhance the efficacy of investigation and intelligence products specifically relating to evaluating biometric collections produced in support of IO mission activities.
  • Evaluate methods of improving use of products, tools, and other capabilities to analyze, collect, document, report, and track the inputs and outputs of various IO initiatives, investigations, operations, and programs.
  • Coordinate with relevant contract and government staff to enhance and support collaboration with designated and relevant mission partners to include other IO units, foreign, law enforcement, intelligence, and other partners as relates to IO's specialized overseas biometric capture program.
  • Collaborate via relevant government staff with other IO units to drive investigative cases and intelligence products, to enhance efficiencies, and to identify critical problem sets and/or threats based on operational and programmatic areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree.
  • 2+ years of related experience in law enforcement, military, or intelligence community support including investigation, intelligence, government briefing, and/or policy/guidance development.
  • TS/SCI Eligible security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in investigation, intelligence, analysis, and/or report writing.
  • Knowledge of visas and immigration laws and procedures, including government criminal, intelligence, investigative, reporting, and/or travel databases.
