About the position

The Client Relationship Management (CRM) Specialist at the University of California Riverside is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing comprehensive strategies, campaigns, templates, and processes that support student acquisition, engagement, and retention across various programs including international, certificate, corporate/custom, and degree completion programs for UCR and UC Merced University Extensions. This role involves integrating Salesforce CRM with organizational business processes and systems to optimize pathways to enrollment and partnerships. The CRM Specialist will manage the development, adoption, and integration of marketing automation tools such as Pardot and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, as well as customer relationship management software (Salesforce).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive short-term and long-term strategies for student acquisition and retention.
  • Integrate Salesforce CRM with organizational business processes to optimize enrollment pathways.
  • Manage the development and adoption of marketing automation tools and CRM software.
  • Maintain data integrity and conduct ongoing analysis of business processes.
  • Lead or coordinate projects with various departments including marketing and IT.
  • Collaborate with UC Reengagement Consortium members to develop reports and dashboards for degree completion initiatives.
  • Provide documentation and training as needed for staff and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.
  • 6 - 10 years of related experience in CRM and enrollment management.
  • Experience developing insights from raw data sets.
  • Expertise in lead scoring, nurturing, and marketing automation.
  • Experience developing training materials and conducting staff training.
  • Experience managing external vendors and junior staff for project execution.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience using Salesforce CRM for client or business solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
  • Salesforce Certified System Architect certification.
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills.
  • Functional knowledge of higher education recruiting, admission, retention, and alumni operations.
