About The Position

The CrowdStrike Engineer position at ASM Research involves supporting the development of security procedures to protect information systems from unauthorized access and destruction. The role requires collaboration with various teams to identify risks and enhance security measures, while also serving as a liaison to understand and implement security requirements for projects. The engineer will conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and provide training on secure coding practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on endpoint security.
  • Cyber Certification such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or OCSP preferred.
  • Extensive experience with CrowdStrike EDR (deployment, configuration, maintenance, and tuning).
  • Proficient in managing firewalls and implementing security policies.
  • Strong understanding of Office 365 security (SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Azure AD, AWS).
  • Experience with vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Splunk.
  • Scripting/programming skills including Python, PowerShell, and Bash.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of security procedures and methods to ensure the safety of information systems.
  • Work with web development, network administration, and corporate security teams to identify and analyze risks.
  • Serve as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders to formulate security requirements.
  • Define, maintain, and enforce application security best practices.
  • Explain and demonstrate vulnerabilities to application owners and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Conduct and coordinate vulnerability assessments of software applications under development.
  • Identify additional application security tools, conduct tool analysis, and provide recommendations.
  • Perform penetration tests and manual/automated code reviews.
  • Train developers and relevant team members on Secure Code Development and other security protocols.
