About The Position

The Cryptologic Test Engineer at KBR plays a crucial role in testing space cryptographic solutions for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) within the Communications Directorate. This position involves providing technical expertise as a Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA), collaborating closely with government customers to influence mission success. The role encompasses troubleshooting, testing, and recommending solutions for cryptographic systems, ensuring the integrity and performance of national security operations.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience in COMSEC/Crypto testing, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience, or a High School diploma with 9+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot COMSEC issues and anomalies
• Conduct Verification & Validation testing
• Develop, document, and execute test plans for performance and validation
• Research, design, and test key management technologies and potential solutions
• Support integration of key management hardware, firmware, and software
• Support regular cadence of audit and optimization tests
• Ensure test plan and test report deliverables are written in accordance with customer specifications
• Support technical risk reduction tests
• Make recommendations for future systems
