About the position

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) - Outside Sales position at AgPro Ohio is designed for individuals who are passionate about building and enhancing customer relationships within the agricultural and turf sectors. The primary responsibility of the CSR is to travel to customer locations to perform follow-up activities on completed goods, parts, and service sales. This role is crucial in addressing customer concerns, gathering parts needs, promoting aftermarket sales, and providing technical support when necessary. The CSR will also collect profiling information to enhance the overall customer experience, ensuring that each interaction is meaningful and productive. In this role, the CSR will market various parts and service sales, including extended warranties, maintenance plans, machine inspections, overhauls, standard repair quotes, and special parts promotions. The CSR will conduct follow-up calls at customer locations regarding complete goods and major parts and services sold by the dealership. Addressing customer concerns and resolving problems effectively and satisfactorily is a key aspect of this position. Additionally, the CSR will profile customers' machines, vehicles, and demographic information to better understand their needs and preferences. The CSR will also participate in dealer product presentations at customer clinics, field expos, and other events, helping to build relationships with customers and becoming the go-to person for all aspects of the business, including sales, parts, and service. Providing technical support on a limited basis when applicable is also part of the job, ensuring that customers receive the assistance they need to make informed decisions about their purchases.

Responsibilities

  • Markets parts and service sales such as extended warranties, maintenance plans, machine inspections, overhauls, standard repair quotes, and special parts promotions.

  • Participates in dealer product presentations at customer clinics, field expos, etc.
  • Builds relationships with customers and becomes the 'go-to' for all aspects of the business (sales, parts, and service).
  • Provides technical support on a limited basis when applicable.

Requirements

  • Experience in an agricultural or turf related role with involvement in activities such as sales, service, parts, training, or other related work preferred.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals, peers, and groups.
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Ability to multi-task between customers and projects and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
