The position involves performing a wide variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity. The individual will need to apply appropriate skills to facilitate diagnoses and may be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of clients in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures is essential. The role may also include responsibilities for supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by the Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Infection control and body substance isolation practices must be adhered to in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintaining patient confidentiality is a critical aspect of this role. The position requires demonstrating proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, as well as the ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications. Attendance at annual mandatory education sessions, including topics such as blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation, is required. Additionally, maintaining department competencies is necessary.
