Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 2025! When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transport. We are seeking a CT Technologist (PRN) Our ideal candidate will work under the direction of the Department Director/Manager/ CT Lead, the Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for producing quality diagnostic image of human anatomy and vascular structures following prescribed protocols. Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to favorably promote the services offered at the facility. To help achieve our mission, you will complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. Your ability to demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self, as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of the patients and staff is of vital importance. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of the patients and employees is required.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structures following prescribed protocols.
• Perform examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner.
• Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
• Demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)(CT) license.
• Minimum one-year experience as a registered Computed Tomography Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
