About the position

The CT Technologist is responsible for acquiring CT scans of patients for diagnostic purposes while ensuring optimal patient care. This role involves performing CT scans with and without contrast, assisting physicians in clinical settings, and maintaining high standards of patient service and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire CT scans of patients for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide patient care during CT scans.
  • Perform clinical activities to assist the physician in a clinical setting.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Assist with the discharge of patients.
  • Order and maintain an orderly stock of supplies.
  • Comply with standards of JCAHO and other governing agencies.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology School.
  • AART (R) certification required.
  • Knowledge of CT cross-sectional anatomy and CT equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of CT contrast and contrast administration.
  • Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
  • BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association.

Nice-to-haves

  • AART (R) (CT) certification preferred.
  • Preparing for registry or certification by ARRT.
