About the position

MedQuest Pharmacy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Experience Technician to join our team. This full-time position focuses on providing exceptional customer service and support in a compounding pharmacy environment, ensuring that patients receive customized medication solutions tailored to their unique needs. The role requires a Certified Pharmacy Technician License and emphasizes effective communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively uses phone system for servicing patients and providers, and communicating with team members.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient workstation, securing PHI and PII appropriately.
  • Proficiently enters prescription data into computer systems.
  • Contacts patients regarding new prescriptions and obtains pertinent information related to prescriptions and health history.
  • Processes new orders, refills, and pre-orders, noting all activity in the patient notes field of the pharmacy system.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in prescription filing for controlled/legend medication.

Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) UT license; PTCB certification is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills, as well as basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with general pharmacy regulations and compliance.
  • On-site presence with consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office applications and internal use systems.
  • Understanding of HIPAA/HITECH Privacy and Security requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of critical and/or time-sensitive job duties.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred; general compounding knowledge a plus.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent phone skills, with comfort in inbound and outbound customer calls.
