About the position

The Customer Service Associate III, SA Client Liaison at Texas A&M University plays a crucial role in managing patient flow and providing exceptional customer service in the Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital. This position involves assisting clients and patients from arrival to treatment, ensuring a welcoming environment, and facilitating communication between clients and veterinary staff. The associate is responsible for various administrative tasks, including managing client registration, updating patient information, and maintaining hospital aesthetics, all while ensuring a high standard of care and service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient flow from arrival to treatment area.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to clients and patients.
  • Assist in client registration and educate clients about procedures.
  • Maintain hospital aesthetics and ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Document patient information and update medical records as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff.
  • Assist with patient admissions and discharges, including billing explanations.
  • Engage clients by offering services and information about the Client Portal.
  • Audit invoices during the patient's stay in the hospital.
  • Assist clients with any issues that arise during their visit.

Requirements

  • High School graduation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience in the service industry or customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment around frightened or painful patients.
  • Good public relations skills and ability to actively listen and problem-solve.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and/or data entry applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Hospitality Management Certificate or Customer Service Certificate
  • Experience in a veterinary or medical setting.
  • Experience handling animals.
  • Experience entering information in an electronic medical record.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
