About the position
The Customer Service Associate role is a temporary position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences in a retail environment. The associate will engage with customers, assist with product inquiries, and ensure efficient checkout service while maintaining store operations and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
- Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Register customer purchases on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, and maintain inventory records.
- Implement asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Construct and maintain promotional displays and complete resets as directed.
- Assist with food item separation and stock rotation using FIFO method.
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
- Monitor web pick-up orders and deliver them to customers as they arrive.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly store appearance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prior work experience with Walgreens.
