About the position
The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience through efficient service and engagement. This temporary position involves operating cash registers, assisting customers with their needs, and maintaining store operations to ensure a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Shares customer service best practices with team members.
- Provides fast and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up options to customers.
- Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
- Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise.
- Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
- Provides customer service in the photo area and assists with web pick-up responsibilities.
- Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
