About the position

The Customer Service Associate role at Walgreens is a temporary part-time position focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The associate will engage with customers, assist with product inquiries, and handle transactions efficiently while maintaining store operations and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Register customer purchases on the cash register and process transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, and assist with inventory management.
  • Implement asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Construct and maintain promotional displays and assist with product placement.
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
  • Monitor web pick-up orders and deliver them to customers as they arrive at the store.
  • Assist with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
