About the position

The Customer Service Clerk at Cosentino's Price Chopper is responsible for assisting customers during their shopping experience by providing efficient and courteous service. This role involves ensuring that customers receive the necessary information and support while maintaining a clean and professional front end of the store. The position requires adherence to company standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in their shopping experience by providing courteous customer service.
• Implement and uphold Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
• Ensure team members have the necessary information to perform their roles effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of products in the department and store to answer customer questions accurately.
• Operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards for team and individual results.
• Ensure the front end is clean and presents a professional appearance.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and price adjustments efficiently and courteously.
• Monitor front end activity and make adjustments to accommodate customer needs.
• Assist cashiers with customer transactions as needed.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and involve management when necessary.
• Comply with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Know and comply with governmental regulations regarding weights and measures, alcohol and tobacco sales, and food assistance programs.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to obtain a liquor license prior to the first day of work (if applicable).
• Completion of ongoing training and development as per the Cosentino's Learning Plan.

• Knowledge of grocery store operations and customer service best practices.
