About the position

The Customer Service Representative at HomeTeam is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and support. This role involves regular communication with both internal and external customers, providing information about services, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position is crucial for maintaining customer relationships and supporting the company's growth in the pest management industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide positive customer experiences that significantly affect customer retention and service usage.
  • Provide information to prospects and initiate new service requests.
  • Answer questions, research problems, resolve issues, and provide pricing for services.
  • Schedule pest and builder-related services using Route Point software.
  • Resolve customer problems related to invoices and billing inquiries.
  • Conduct professional telephone conversations with customers regarding service issues.
  • Enter service-related notes into the system software.
  • Provide general marketing information to prospects and customers as requested.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with customers for re-treats and initial services as directed.
  • Maintain customer files both digitally and in physical filing systems.
  • Validate technician paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
  • File technician paperwork in customer files.
  • Update system notes with technician and employee customer information.
  • Print, distribute, and review service tickets for technicians.
  • Have a basic knowledge of technician's job and treatment processes.
  • Follow HomeTeam Pest Defense telephone etiquette procedures.
  • Calm and diffuse angry customers effectively.
  • Escalate inquiries or problems to managers when necessary.
  • Collect and reconcile payments received by technicians.

Requirements

  • Must have 1 year of previous customer service experience.
  • Entry level customer service skills and techniques.
  • Basic understanding of computers.
  • Entry level skills in using company telephone features.
  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
