About The Position

The Customer Service Representative I position at Ryder System is responsible for providing excellent customer service while working collaboratively across various departments such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management. This role involves handling inbound sales calls, maintaining inventory levels, and addressing customer inquiries and complaints to ensure a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year or more in sales and/or customer service experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a great customer experience by resolving concerns, issues, and disputes to meet customer expectations.
  • Handle all rental sales and manage the sales process for inbound calls and outbound solicitation to increase leads and new customers.
  • Accountable for coordinating rental truck inventory levels with Maintenance and Asset Management to meet customer demands.
  • Enhance productivity through effective scheduling and planning in workflow management.
  • Generate purchase/repair orders and maintain relevant files.
  • Contribute to cost containment through effective parts management and inventory planning.
