About the position

The Customer Solutions Specialist at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is responsible for enhancing customer experience by managing inquiries and resolving issues in a call center environment. This role involves maintaining relationships with customers, processing orders, and providing support to both customers and the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with regional customers and sales staff by answering incoming calls and resolving order issues.
  • Process sales orders and order changes, confirming shipment/delivery dates and cancellations.
  • Provide specialty gas/supplies sales and support to customers and the sales team.
  • Utilize business software systems to retrieve customer information and process orders.
  • Verify customer credit status and complete necessary paperwork for credits or debits.
  • Provide quotes and assistance to the sales force and management within set parameters.
  • Suggest additional products and services to meet customer needs, following pricing guidelines.
  • Provide customers with informational materials such as sales brochures and marketing flyers.
  • Handle phone inquiries for service calls and part orders.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal customers.
  • Meet call center performance metrics and outsource products as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; college or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience required.
  • Prior industry experience with knowledge of company products (hardgoods, welding supplies, industrial gas, specialty gas, and medical gas) required.
  • Hands-on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
