About the position

The Customer Support Facility Program Manager at Textron Aviation plays a pivotal role in the strategic management of the Global Service Center Network's real estate portfolio. This position is part of the Business Operations team within Customer Support and is essential for leading complex projects that support service center operations and align with business objectives. The Program Manager will collaborate across various functions to ensure the successful execution of projects, which includes the implementation of the overall real estate portfolio strategy. In this role, the Program Manager will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing a variety of legal documents and third-party reports, such as leases, purchase and sale agreements, appraisals, and environmental reports. They will manage and track a wide range of projects, providing regular status updates on progress. The Program Manager will also develop project schedules and facilitate cross-functional meetings to ensure projects are managed effectively. Compliance with design criteria, safety practices, insurance requirements, and applicable codes is a critical aspect of this role. Additionally, the Program Manager will assist with annual and long-range strategic planning and define capital project requirements to support strategic goals. Utilizing AutoCAD and other software, the Program Manager will update facility drawings and record changes to facilities, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. This position requires a strong background in real estate management, project management, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Implement overall real estate portfolio strategy in support of service center operations and business objectives.
  • Review and analyze legal documents and third-party reports, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, appraisals, environmental reports, market studies, and market appraisals.
  • Manage and track a wide range of projects and provide regular status reporting on progress.
  • Develop project schedules and manage projects through cross-functional meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with design criteria, safety practices, insurance requirements, and all applicable codes.
  • Assist with annual and long-range strategic planning.
  • Define capital project requirements in support of strategic goals.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other software to update facility drawings and record changes to facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management, Business Administration, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in real estate/facilities management, preferably in a global corporate environment.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the real estate development process.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiating leases and/or purchases of commercial and residential property, along with strong property management skills.
  • Strong real estate legal background with the ability to analyze and decipher legal documents.
  • Familiarity with state, local, and industry regulations, as well as real estate valuation concepts.
  • Technical knowledge of facilities and environmental issues related to facility management.
  • Working knowledge of budget planning and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate professionally, both verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers and across all levels throughout the organization.
  • Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD preferred.
  • Ability to travel.
