The Customer Zone Technician II position at Citizens Telecom Services involves performing essential tasks related to service order and repair activities associated with both sealed and unsealed network facilities, including copper and fiber connections. This role is critical in ensuring the installation and maintenance of voice, data, and ancillary equipment, as well as network services. The technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, rearranging, repairing, and removing cables, terminals, and other associated apparatus in both outside and inside plant networks. The position requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise in network services, ensuring that all installations meet the required specifications and standards. In this role, the technician will interface directly with customers to analyze installation and repair issues, responding to inquiries and providing follow-up as necessary. The technician will also interpret schematic work order drawings to determine job specifications and installation needs, ordering or obtaining the required equipment as needed. Utilizing various test equipment to analyze equipment troubles, the technician will take appropriate maintenance actions to ensure service continuity. The position may also require the operation of standard and aerial lift vehicles, as well as the use of various manual, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, electronic, gasoline, propane, and power-actuated tools and equipment. The technician must be prepared to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the company, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to service excellence.
