The Operations role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely logistics to delivery process flow while meeting compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This position involves understanding department processes, improving efficiency, and executing customer standard operating procedures. You will work closely with the team to meet KPI standards and support the supervisor in various operational areas.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely LOG to DLV process flow
  • Meet compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Understand department process flow and seek areas for improved efficiency
  • Oversee and execute customer standard operating procedures via the DLSOP
  • Review daily workflow and reports to support team metrics
  • Audit files to ensure compliance with operating process standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and governmental Customs organizations
  • Monitor training and completion of team’s learning plans
  • Push information to enhance productivity and metrics
  • Participate in the transition of new business and updates to existing business
  • Assist in retention calls and customer data reviews
  • Identify and mentor your No. 2
  • Allocate workloads within the team during peak activity
  • Guide and mentor agents
  • Follow up on new hires training as per company standards
  • Communicate department goals and expectations to the team
  • Promote productivity tools and implement system changes
  • Suggest system/process improvements
  • Proactively promote the company’s cultural attributes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Customs Brokerage/Compliance experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to type at least 45 words per minute
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process-oriented
