About the position

The Cybersecurity Marketing Content Specialist is a contract role focused on creating engaging B2B and business-to-government content to enhance the effectiveness of client marketing materials and websites. This position involves collaboration with various teams to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and produce high-quality content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling ad copy, emails, guides, talking points, landing pages, blog posts, presentations, case studies, employee stories, marketing campaigns, and other special projects as assigned.
  • Interview subject matter experts for content.
  • Interpret creative briefs to create content that meets desired objectives.
  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials.
  • Revise copy based on internal and client feedback.
  • Attend team meetings as required.
  • Promote marketing best practices and stay up on market trends.
  • Foster positive morale and live company core values.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully. Maintain a level-headed and respectful approach with stakeholders.
  • Ensure content is aligned with the company's brand and messaging guidelines.

Requirements

  • Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language.
  • An understanding of common editorial style guides, e.g. AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, The Elements of Style, etc.
  • Experience with B2B or B2G writing.
  • The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it.
  • Self-directing and flexible, with the ability to quickly pivot strategies, as needed.
  • Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, preferred.
  • Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
