About The Position

The Cyber Security Software Integration Engineer will lead a team in developing a cloud-based software factory for the Space Development Agency's Battle Management Command, Control and Communication (BMC3) Program. This role focuses on securely onboarding application developers and ensuring the rapid deployment of mission applications for space vehicle platforms, contributing to national security objectives. The position offers opportunities for mentorship and collaboration with skilled engineers in a remote work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with fourteen (14) years or more experience, or a master's degree with twelve (12) years or more experience.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance.
• Possess a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+) or the ability to obtain it within 60 days.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of Compiled Software Build Processes.
• Experience with security automation tools such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).

Responsibilities

• Articulate technical concepts to new developers to align technical teams to the BMC3 platform.
• Onboard software space applications to the BMC3 Application Software Factory as a Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a secure AWS Cloud and Kubernetes platform.
• Train and educate application vendors on Certificate to Field processes and requirements for secure deployment and maintenance of their applications.
• Maintain a Source Control Management/Documentation system with automated containerized build processes for multiple environments.
• Integrate security scanners into the continuous build process and containers.
• Automate testing in the Continuous Integration (CI) process.
• Manage system and service configuration.
• Facilitate successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
• Collaborate with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
