About The Position

The Dairy Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Dairy Department, working closely with the Grocery Manager. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining product quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in directing the operation of the Dairy Department.
• Supervise and train personnel in the Dairy Department.
• Order, receive, store, stock, and control inventory of dairy products.
• Encourage and maintain a customer-friendly atmosphere with an emphasis on safety and service.
• Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Plan and organize merchandise requirements and special sales needs with the Grocery Manager.
• Rotate and face products, clean shelves, and process outdated products.
• Prevent the sale of out-of-code products and manage backroom inventory.
• Assist with grocery department merchandising and building displays.
• Act as a backup cashier when needed.
