About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a full-time Early Career Data Analyst to perform Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) in support of F-35 Sustainment. The role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing data to develop insights that drive business results. The analyst will work under the guidance of a technical lead to establish a total cost to performance picture for Sustainment, analyze fielded performance, and develop solutions for forecasting and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) in support of F-35 Sustainment.
• Collect, process, and analyze data to develop insights that answer business questions.
• Draw insights from data using statistical methods and translate them into actionable business results.
• Support coordination and development of problem statements, modeling approaches, and assumptions.
• Analyze fielded performance and develop solutions for forecasting and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, etc.) or related fields with an emphasis in modeling and data manipulation.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R), statistics, data munging, and data visualization.
• Analytical skills and understanding of system databases and application software solutions.
• Knowledge of predictive analytics, modeling, simulation, and forecasting.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of conducting performance and cost analysis.
• Experience with SAS or other high-level programming languages.
• Ability to query databases using SQL.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Experience in collecting and compiling datasets from disparate sources.
