About the position

The Data Analyst position at a bank in Columbus, OH, is focused on leveraging strong Tableau skills to create dashboards and analyze data. This hybrid role requires the candidate to work three days onsite and two days remotely, with an immediate start date. The position is contract-to-hire, and candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards using Tableau to visualize data insights.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns that inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Utilize SQL for data extraction and manipulation from large databases.
• Implement statistical and machine learning methods to enhance data analysis capabilities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a STEM degree; or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years' work experience in analytics or data science.
• Strong experience with Tableau and Tableau Server for business intelligence and data visualization.
• Direct experience with SQL programming and large database applications such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SPSS, Teradata, and Hadoop.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with programming languages R or Python for statistical analysis and machine learning.
• Familiarity with Java or C++ in a data mining context.
• Experience in building web-based applications using HTML, CSS, Perl, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and IBM Digital Analytics.
• Experience with A/B testing tools and effective test design.
