About the position

The Data Analyst position at BCforward involves analyzing, reviewing, and validating complex tax data while utilizing tools such as Tableau or Alteryx. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a hybrid work environment. The analyst will be responsible for processing customer tax profiles, performing user acceptance testing, and ensuring data accuracy across various systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review and validate moderate to complex tax data (W9 and W8-BEN, W8-BEN-E, W8-IMY, W8-EXP and W8-ECI).
• Accurately process data for customers' tax profiles on various client systems including account level systems.
• Verify that modifications in data are fed to various systems.
• Update tracking mechanisms to ensure data capture.
• Learn and use multiple, complex databases and systems in a relatively short timeframe.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing in systems as needed.
• Build strong client relationships across lines of business and levels.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
• Make independent client-centric and judgment decisions.
• Recognize and appropriately escalate issues and discrepancies.

Requirements

• Experience with data entry and user testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop applications.
• Knowledge of SQL/data queries.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
