About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing reporting and analytics using various data models and tools such as GRC tools and Power BI. Your work will involve generating insightful reports and visualizations for executive-level presentations. You will need to understand the business needs, prototype data analytics solutions, and deploy enhancements while coordinating with relevant business units to ensure sustainable monitoring solutions. Additionally, you will extract data from internal and external sources for reporting, analysis, and statistical modeling, ensuring data accuracy and clearly defined processes. You will also design and oversee the administration of database structures to maintain data integrity and establish internal governance processes. A key part of your responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining a Key Risk Indicator (KRI) framework and providing statistical analysis for enterprise risk calculations. You will assist in monitoring and reporting on key risk indicators, emerging risks, and industry trends to support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) assessments. Furthermore, you will document business processes and workflows for both technical and non-technical audiences, while contributing ideas and maintaining a curious mindset. This position requires the ability to thrive in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities and aggressive deadlines, along with supporting approximately 10% international and domestic travel.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize reporting and analytics using data models, GRC tools, Power BI and other analytics tools.
  • Understand the needs of the business, prototype data analytics solutions and tools, deploy enhancements, and coordinate with relevant business units.
  • Locate and extract data from internal and external sources for reporting, analysis, and statistical modeling.
  • Ensure data accuracy and clearly defined processes; proactively identify and elevate solutions for inconsistencies.
  • Design and oversee administration of database structures to ensure data integrity controls and establish internal governance processes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a Key Risk Indicator (KRI) framework.
  • Provide statistical and quantitative analysis for enterprise risk calculations.
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on key risk indicators, emerging risks, and industry trends in support of ERM risk assessments.
  • Assist in researching and documenting business processes, workflows, and user guides for various audiences.
  • Contribute ideas and maintain intellectual curiosity in the role.

Requirements

  • Strong mathematical and programming skills.
  • Advanced SQL modeling and querying skills.
  • Advanced dashboarding skills using tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Familiarity with Python and cloud technology (AWS).
  • Ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Experience in performing data projects from inception to completion, including timeline and resource management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to confidentiality of sensitive material.
  • Prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative disciplines such as Data Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or 2+ years of equivalent experience in analytics.
  • Awareness of cloud computing and security, IT governance, Risk Management, IT Infrastructure, Data Privacy and Protection, and Emerging Technologies.
  • Experience with AuditBoard or other related GRC tools.
