About the position

The Data Center Tech II position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of real-time transaction-based wagering systems. An Operator will operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines. This position will support the field with troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work a non-standard shift and fill-in for shifts, as needed.
  • Operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail is required to ensure all aspects of the operational environment are maintained.
  • Prioritize nightly processes to ensure performance of time critical schedule.
  • Run all programs for production systems.
  • Provide batch processing and tape backups.
  • Ability to problem solve and gather data to troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues.
  • Maintain accounting controls for tapes produced.
  • Must be able to run web-based vendor systems for E-Commerce products.
  • Log and report problems to management.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to work with field staff, Retailer-base, and Lottery to troubleshoot and resolve different situations.
  • Ability to maintain an aggressive call volume.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in LINUX, Microsoft products, and Windows based systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies.
  • Strong time management skills.
