About the position

The position involves escorting vendors and customers within secured spaces and data center white spaces per DXC Technology security policies, providing technical oversight of activities performed during escorting activities, and ensuring compliance with approved Change or Incident records. The role requires effective communication with requestors and participation in technical change reviews and incident troubleshooting calls.

Responsibilities

  • Perform escorting of DXC Technology and non-DXC Technology personnel, vendors, and customers within all secured spaces and data center white spaces.
  • Provide technical oversight of activities performed during escorting activities.
  • Interface with requestors via phone call, instant messaging, email, and other DXC interface tools.
  • Join and participate in technical change reviews and incident troubleshooting calls.
  • Communicate in English both written and verbal.
  • Provide escalation and ongoing communication to DXC Leadership and Site Leads for incidents and outages.
  • Provide escalation and ongoing communication for any failed or missed changes or incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically, 3+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis.
  • Proficiencies in data analysis and a basic understanding of technical concepts.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts including day/nights including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended durations.
  • Ability to utilize a pallet jack/forklift.
  • Familiarity with IT equipment including servers, network switches, storage, and cabinets.
  • Solid working knowledge of data center environments and infrastructure, network and telecommunications protocols and platforms, and disaster recovery.
  • Must be a USA citizen or permanent resident.

  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals.
