Data Center Technician L2, L3, And Leads

About the position

Our client is looking to hire Intermediate Level IT professionals who are eager to work in a dynamic Data Center environment. We are seeking individuals with a strong passion for technology and computer hardware. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for physical upgrades, implementation, optimizations, and troubleshooting onsite at the data center. You will deploy circuit boards, troubleshoot related issues, run diagnostics, create documentation, and more.

Responsibilities

• Address customer inquiries via support tickets from inception through resolution with minimal or no supervision.
• Support data center operations and IT systems, network services, and business-critical processes to ensure the delivery of customer products and services.
• Provide technical and operational support, including colocation, connectivity, and network products and services.
• Maintain internal networks, IT infrastructure, computers, electronics, and telephone systems.
• Install and deploy IT and network hardware.
• Create and run patch cables, and verify testing cable paths.
• Support maintenance of infrastructure, network equipment, and network services, including break-fix work.
• Perform Data Center hardware and inventory audits.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of IT experience.
• Experience in data centers, including rack and stack, break-fix, server support, and cabling.
• Familiarity with types of cables (cat5, cat6, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a 24/7 support environment.
• Ability to articulate previous work done within data centers.
