About the position

At GoDaddy, the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely. This is an in-office position and you'll be expected to work full-time in an office location, and therefore must live within commuting distance from your assigned office. You will work from this office beginning on your first day. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands. GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC. Join our team as a Data Center Technician, where you will be the technical liaison between the technology teams and the Data Center Environment. You will troubleshoot and solve common issues defined by SOP's while advancing skills to troubleshoot more complex infrastructure issues. As a skilled troubleshooter on a wide range of Data Center environment and systems, you will understand which issues to escalate to the appropriate resolver groups. You will create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and understand the basic aspects of the equipment you support, being trained in their use. You will innovate and make recommendations in the best interest of our customers while also taking directions when given, paying attention to all the details involved.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware troubleshooting and maintenance for GoDaddy infrastructure, focusing on mission critical systems (storage, network, servers)
  • Perform data and power cable management, testing, and installation
  • Respond to all requests 24x7 from business operations center(s)
  • Work a flexible shift and participate in an on-call rotation if applicable
  • Ability to work 1st shift, 2nd shift, or 3rd shift as required by business need
  • Perform onsite duties as required by business need
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with your team, business partners, and third-party vendors with a focus on quality and SLA compliance
  • Execute small projects with direction from leadership

Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate basic skills in Systems Administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers) and Networking Concepts
  • Basic knowledge or experience in IT hardware concepts
