You will be instrumental in designing and implementing data transformations and pipelines to support complex business requirements, particularly in financial data systems. This is a hands-on technical role with a significant focus on problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and creating solutions for intricate business processes. This position is ideal for someone with a quantitative background in computer science, mathematics, or a related field, who thrives on developing innovative solutions, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring data accuracy. Responsibilities

• Write advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to handle complex data transformations, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Perform query performance optimization, including indexing strategies and tuning for large datasets.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like SSIS, ADF, or equivalent, ensuring seamless data integration and transformation.
• Build and automate data workflows to support accurate and efficient data operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand financial business processes and requirements.
• Develop tailored data solutions to address challenges such as cost allocation, weighted distributions, and revenue recognition using mathematical and logical reasoning.
• Conduct root cause analysis for data issues, resolving them swiftly to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to transform business logic into actionable data workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business objectives.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server, including tools like SSMS, SQL Profiler, and SQL Agent.
• Proven experience developing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency with SSIS for data integration and transformation.
• Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills to design efficient solutions for business problems.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex financial data challenges, including proportional distributions and other mathematical transformations.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts and processes, enabling seamless translation of business needs into data solutions.
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration across teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Python, C#, or similar scripting languages for backend integration.
• Experience with cloud ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Fivetran, or Airbyte.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance principles.
