About the position

As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you will be at the forefront of advanced technology, tasked with developing and deploying data pipelines and platforms that transform disparate data into meaningful insights. This role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance Booz Allen's DataOps and MLOps capabilities, supporting a high-visibility analytics program for a Fortune 500 company. You will have the opportunity to architect a new data platform and build modern, automated ETL data pipelines in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, data scientists, developers, and data consumers.
  • Support data engineering activities on a high visibility analytics program.
  • Help architect a new data platform and build modern automated ETL data pipelines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
  • 5+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
  • 5+ years of experience working with big data technologies, such as Databricks and Spark.
  • 4+ years of experience working with cloud data technologies and architecture.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing programming languages, including C++, Java, or Python.
  • Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience in application development utilizing SQL or Scala.
  • Ability to manage activities and tasks from start to finish.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and communicate with multiple functional groups.
  • Ability to display a positive, can-do attitude to solve challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
