About the position

The Data Governance and Controls Manager at EY will lead diverse teams to deliver data and analytics services, focusing on defining strategies, performing assessments, and implementing solutions for financial services clients. Responsibilities

  • Lead diverse teams across geographies to deliver data and analytics services.
  • Define data and analytics strategies and perform assessments.
  • Recommend remediation strategies based on identified gaps.
  • Design and implement future state data and analytics solutions.
  • Solve complex issues and drive growth across financial services.
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and cultivate business opportunities.
  • Initiate thought leadership through white papers and proof of concepts.
  • Manage project delivery and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Evaluate and test various approaches and recommend the best path forward.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, computer science, business, economics, finance, statistics, and/or analytics).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in banking, capital markets, insurance or asset management in a Data Scientist or Business Intelligence role.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a team.
  • Superior communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Experience presenting analytical conclusions to senior officials and stakeholders.
  • Proven application of advanced analytical and statistical methods in financial services.
  • Experience working independently and delivering results under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated senior-level leadership in engaging with C-level executives.
  • Practical experience in leading teams through a product life cycle.
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies such as SAS, R, Python, Tableau, and various database technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior consulting experience.
