The Data Governance & Controls Associate Vice President (AVP) will play a crucial role in supporting the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG). This position focuses on the Report Inventory, Ownership, and Tiering Control for MUFG Americas, which is essential for the Data Management Integrated Control Framework. The AVP will be responsible for defining and maintaining an accurate inventory of reports, which is vital for meeting both internal and external requirements related to America's Risk Management (ARM) and the Chief Finance and Strategy Office (CFSO). This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including Report Inventory Owners, Report Content Owners, and Data Officers, to ensure that the report inventory is comprehensive and up-to-date. The AVP will also be tasked with creating definitions for reports, report tiers, and process requirements to manage the report inventory effectively. This includes executing ongoing refreshes and managing ad hoc change requests. The role requires performing quality checks on report metadata to ensure accuracy and compliance, as well as supporting the testing of report inventory review automation workflows. Additionally, the AVP will document processes and maintain detailed records, including training materials to support audit activities. A proactive approach to identifying gaps in current business-as-usual (BAU) activities and implementing improvements is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, data quality, and data management, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. This role is designed for individuals who are not only skilled in data governance principles and methodologies but also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Risk and regulatory reporting experience is a plus, as is proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi, and Collibra.
