About the position

In this role, the Data Governance Manager will provide second line risk oversight of Data Management. The Data Management Program sets the guidelines for facilitating risk identification. The Data Governance Manager is responsible for establishing and leading the data governance strategy and framework across the organization. This role ensures that data is accurate, accessible, consistent, and protected. The Data Governance Manager will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to implement data policies, standards, and best practices to enhance data quality and compliance. This position is critical in ensuring that the organization adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies regarding data management. The Data Governance Manager will also be tasked with developing training programs to educate employees on data governance principles and practices, fostering a culture of data stewardship throughout the organization. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and reporting on data governance metrics to senior management, ensuring that data governance initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Administration, Risk, Information Technology, or Data Science.
• 4-10 years of experience in the technology field, with a focus on data management, preferably in risk management.
