About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Governance Manager for a contract to hire role working a hybrid schedule with a bank in Green Bay or Milwaukee, WI or Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for data governance, delivering training sessions to educate senior and executive management stakeholders on data governance concepts and requirements. You will provide experience and guidance with regulatory heightened standards in data governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that our data governance practices align with these standards. Additionally, you will support the bank's data management and transformation program evolution by serving as a key contact for data governance-related topics. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance and support to lines of business on data governance matters, including system implementations and conversions. You will assist in coordinating cross-functional discussions to address and resolve data governance-related issues and conflicts. Regular reporting and updates to senior management on program progress, challenges, and areas for improvement will also be part of your duties, including establishing key performance indicators and key risk indicators for adequate data governance oversight. Furthermore, you will assist in serving as a key data governance subject matter expert during internal audits related to data governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Administration, Risk, Information Technology, or Data Science.
  • 4-7 years of experience in the Technology field, with a focus on data management, preferably in risk management.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the Technology field, with a focus on data management, preferably in risk management.
