The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst plays a crucial role in shaping the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy and the Data Risk and Control Framework. This position is pivotal in ensuring that data governance policies are effectively implemented and adhered to across the organization. The analyst will assist in the identification, measurement, and reporting of data-related issues, ensuring compliance with established data policies and frameworks. The role requires a dynamic and flexible individual who can adapt to rapidly changing needs and handle ambiguity and complexity with ease. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are essential, as the analyst will need to guide, influence, and convince various stakeholders throughout the organization. In this role, the analyst will partner with multiple teams to implement relevant Data Governance policies and the Data Risk and Control framework. They will provide expertise in the design, effectiveness, performance monitoring, and self-assessment processes of these frameworks. Oversight and analysis of data-related issues will be a key responsibility, including tracking ownership, target dates, and associated metrics and reporting. The analyst will support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on the rollout of the enterprise Data Governance strategy, which includes the introduction of a new Data Risk Taxonomy and associated changes to key risk indicators and control frameworks. Additionally, the analyst will gather and synthesize metrics on existing Data Governance and Data Risk and Controls principles, policies, practices, and standards, ensuring alignment with industry best practices. They will produce recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding principles, policies, processes, and practices, and determine the requirements for and prioritize the development of new enterprise-wide principles as needed. The analyst will also develop and manage an approach for measuring the adoption of these principles, policies, processes, and practices across the organization.
