About the position

The IT Governance Specialist I will play a crucial role in consulting on enterprise-wide data governance frameworks. This position focuses on enhancing data quality and safeguarding sensitive data by modifying organizational behavior policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools, and data architecture. The specialist will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that data governance practices are effectively integrated into the organization's operations. In this role, the specialist will define roles and responsibilities related to data governance, ensuring clear accountability for data stewardship across the enterprise. They will facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards and data protection standards, as well as adoption requirements that align with the organization's goals. The specialist will also be responsible for defining performance indicators and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with data-related policies, standards, and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in defining a data governance operating model, effectively communicating this model, and implementing it at the enterprise business unit level. Hands-on experience in implementing data dictionaries, business glossaries, data lineage, data service agreements, and data quality metrics is essential. Additionally, the specialist will help identify new business opportunities related to the use of information assets for both existing clients and prospective clients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent work experience in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in implementing data management in the consulting industry.
  • Project management experience.
