About the position

As a Data Governance Specialist at Reliance Matrix, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the reporting capabilities and data management practices within the Claims Governance Department. This position involves analyzing, designing, and developing advanced reporting capabilities, as well as aggregating data sets to establish reporting best practices. You will be responsible for developing information metadata and identifying the availability and location of specific data elements necessary for building reports in the enterprise data platform. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing, developing, and supporting cube datasets within the semantic layer of the database. Additionally, you will develop processes to extract and utilize data from the Data Lake and support ETL processes within the Enterprise Data Warehouse to facilitate the creation of semantic layer tables and data products. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in data governance and management, with a focus on SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, ETL, data warehousing, and BI reporting. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you work with various data sources and reporting tools to ensure that the Claims Governance Department has access to accurate and timely data. This position may offer flexible work arrangements, subject to company approval, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and develop advanced reporting capabilities for the Claims Governance Department.
  • Aggregate data sets and establish reporting best practices.
  • Develop information metadata and identify the availability and location of data elements for reporting.
  • Analyze, develop, and support cube datasets within the semantic layer of the database.
  • Develop processes to extract and utilize data from the Data Lake.
  • Support ETL processes within the Enterprise Data Warehouse to facilitate semantic layer tables and data products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience in data governance and management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, ETL, and data warehousing.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with UNIX and SFTP.
