About The Position

The Data Management Analyst at MassMutual is responsible for developing data management strategies that align with business objectives. This role involves analyzing complex data sets to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and contributing to the strategic efforts of the Data Engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level data management solutions.
• 4+ years of experience formalizing and improving data management processes and operational efficiency.
• 5+ years of experience in designing data solutions involving integration of complex data sources and governance frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience working as part of a structured project delivery team.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in computer science or engineering.
• Familiarity with agile project delivery processes.
• Experience in Finance/Insurance domains, preferably in Life Insurance.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data access and analysis.
• Excellent mentoring skills and the desire to contribute beyond day-to-day project work.

Responsibilities

• Document & develop end-to-end data flow processes and data designs to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Analyze and design data models, logical databases, relational database definitions, and metadata.
• Define data quality management, data security frameworks, metadata management, and data governance processes.
• Provide data standards and best practices, ensuring that data dictionaries are maintained across multiple database environments.
• Understand how to manage data with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
