About the position

The Data Processing Programmer at WK Medical Center is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data processing systems that support the operational needs of the organization. This role involves working closely with various departments to understand their data requirements and translating those needs into effective programming solutions. The programmer will be tasked with ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility while adhering to industry standards and best practices. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues that may arise, ensuring that all systems function smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the Data Processing Programmer will also be involved in the design and implementation of new data processing applications, as well as the enhancement of existing systems. This includes writing and testing code, debugging programs, and documenting processes to ensure that all programming work is transparent and reproducible. The programmer will be expected to stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data processing to continuously improve the organization's data capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset, enabling them to identify and rectify data discrepancies effectively. They will also need to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure that data solutions meet the needs of the organization. This position is a full-time role, primarily during the day shift, and is based in Shreveport, LA.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
