About the position

We are looking for a Data Product Manager to join our Data Products team within our Data organization. This is a key role in a fast-paced environment working with teams and stakeholders across our Sports business supporting our Risk and Trading functions, to define our next generation of data products. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams from across the business to understand data challenges and opportunities
  • Own and drive data products that deliver key insights, shaping future business decisions
  • Lead elicitation of requirements translating needs into user stories and acceptance criteria while prioritizing the product backlog
  • Translate product roadmap features into clear, actionable requirements including well-defined features, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers and business stakeholders, to ensure our platform aligns with business objectives and delivers advanced machine learning solutions
  • Establish and maintain domain expertise on the product
  • Bring fresh ideas to problem solving, leveraging commercial understanding to generate innovative data solutions
  • Drive effective and sustainable change guiding the business through transformation initiatives
  • Play a key role in self-organizing agile delivery teams
  • Play a key role within the PM community here at FanDuel, sharing your industry best practice and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-skilling

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Data Analyst delivering impactful data products
  • Passion for sports and/or sports betting/trading a strong plus
  • Experience working with data warehouse and data pipeline technologies
  • Experience using SQL, Python and data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with popular machine learning frameworks and tools
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaboratively in an agile team
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply these to delivering data products
  • Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating stakeholder workshops
  • Committed to high standards of performance, consistently working to meet or exceed challenging goals
  • High self-awareness and a strong understanding of behavior in different team environments
  • Ability to constructively challenge and question as well as actively listen
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, helping teams navigate shifting priorities with clarity
