About The Position

The Data Program Manager role at Eliassen Group involves leading cross-functional teams to develop machine learning models and algorithms for personalized content recommendations in the video streaming industry. This position is a 6+ month contract that is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast. The role requires effective communication and coordination between product and engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of software products.

Requirements

• 7+ years as a Technical Program Manager or equivalent experience in media, technology, or consumer software.
• Experience with scalable agile processes and change management.
• Strong knowledge of consumer application development and SDLC.
• Proven leadership in managing large teams on complex projects.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with distributed, remote, or global teams.
• Familiarity with backend services, data schemas, and API contracts.
• Proficiency with project management tools like Jira and Confluence.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to educate, build trust, and foster strong relationships.
• Experience in the media entertainment industry, especially streaming services.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, cloud computing, and full-stack development.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and analytics tools.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL, or JVM languages.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and product teams with program management and coordination.
• Define and manage schedules, resources, milestones, and releases.
• Communicate program status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders, including executives.
• Conduct risk analysis and communicate management plans.
• Build relationships across teams and serve as an end-to-end liaison.
• Contribute to a team of Technical Program Managers and lead large-scale program delivery.
• Educate partner teams on agile best practices.
